Voëlkop Guest Farm

We invite you to join us at our Bushveld hideaway in the Magaliesberg. Enjoy 70 hectares of unspoiled natural beauty in a congenial climate, a comfortable one-and-a-half hours drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria. Our farm is only 68 km's from the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, Sun City and the Lost City.

This enterprise is now fifteen years old - the oldest gay-owned business in South Africa with the same continuous owners catering exclusively to the gay community. We have kept development low-key to be in harmony with nature and to preserve the ecology. Electricity has been installed discreetly so as not to detract from the farm's rustic charm.

Go for extended rambles in the bush, relax at the pool or make friends in our splash pools and ease out in the steam room and sauna. Watch the sunset from the bar deck and enjoy a snack or meal, prepared under the personal supervision of Paul, on the restaurant deck.

The temperate climate allows you to have an all-over tan all year round. We have monthly functions where you can let your hair down and boogie. Consult our web site for the annual program. Clothing is optional as the farm is totally private and run exclusively for gay men.

We provide accommodation in wooden chalets sleeping 2-6 people, each with its own toilet, or in caravans, also sleeping 2-6 people. The caravans are under roof and both caravans and chalets have their own porch and fridge. The campsite caters for a large number of caravans and tents. The farm has two communal ablution blocks.

Accommodation is on a self-catering basis, but should you wish to have a lazy weekend, meals can be enjoyed on the restaurant deck. The all-weather gravel road from Makolokwe and graveled roads around the farm allow for year-round access, even in rainy weather. With the growing popularity of Voëlkop, advanced booking for chalets, caravans and campsites is essential.
